$7 Million Lotto Winner Wants to Stay Anonymous

A Christchurch woman won $7 million in Lotto, but now she wants to keep her name in secret. The winning ticket, which was sold at Fresh Choice Barrington, will change this woman’s life. The total prize of $7 million was made up of $1 million from Lotto First Division and $6 million from Powerball First Division.

According to Emilia Mazur, manager of Lotteries Commission corporate communications, the lucky winner has already validated her ticket at the supermarket, but now she will need to travel to Wellington to demand the prize officially. The name of the woman can't be revealed, because she said to Emilia Mazur, that she prefers to keep her identity anonymous.
