On Tuesday morning, Benjamin Scholl, who is a 26-year-old equities trader won the event $5,000 Limit Hold`em, which was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The first place prize was $206,760.

The tournament lasted for three days and it started with 166 entrants. It was one of the smallest fields of the year, which showed the decreasing popularity of Limit Hold`em events. A few years ago, such events were dominant in the United States, but now No-Limit games became more popular.

Benjamin Scholl was born in York, Pa. It is interesting that he works for the same financial company, which produced fellow-gold bracelet winners Jerrord Ankenman and Bill Chen.

There were two great players at the final table, who have more than two million dollars each in WSOP earnings, but not a gold bracelet win so far.
