Governor Brown Jr. Signed Tribal-state Casino Deal

On Friday, June 14th, gov. Edmund G. Brown Jr. has stated that he signed a gaming deal between the Ramona Band of Cahuilla and the State of California. The signed agreement enables the operation of maximum 750 slot machines.

The signed tribal-state compact includes a variety of provisions protecting patrons and employees, as well as the environment during the construction and during the operation of gaming facilities. The deal also contains additional terms that are encouraging the use of ecology-resort operations standards and the use of clean energy sources on the territory of the tribe's reservation.
