Greg Raymer With Triple Crown From Heartland Poker Tour

Greg “Fossilman” Raymer won a Heartland Poker Tour. And that's for the third time. The 48-year old professional poker player earned his triple crown in Altoona, Iowa, at Prairie Meadows Racetrack Casino Hotel. Raymer is the first player ever who wins three HPT championships in only one season. He won his first crown at Route 66 Casino Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 30th and his second title in October at River City Casino in St Louis, Missouri.

Raymer eliminated Craig Casino in third place. Then the last two players on the table were “Fossilman” and Chad Lawson, a single father and local man from Pleasant Hill, Iowa. It was incredible, Lawson had no former career winnings and he had invested only $300 into the HPT event. Raymer had invested $8250. At the end Lawson’s ace-five could not improve against Raymer’s ace-king.
