McCorkell Wins A World Series Of Poker Bracelet

25.06.2012 | Antoan Tok

The $3,000 No-Limit Hold`em shootout, an event held at the World Series of Poker finished on Thursday night and the winner is called Craig McCorkell. This is his first WSOP bracelet, and the money prize that he won was $368,593.

But it was not the prize or the bracelet that was interesting or memorable into Craig’s victory, but the way that he won. Actually during most of the time on the final table, the former gold bracelet winner Antonio Esfandiari, also known as ‘the Magician’, was holding about 80 percent of the total chips that were in the play. Then all of a sudden the tournament turned into a different direction, because Antonio not only lost the chip lead, but he was also knocked out of the tournament.

And until that night, there was nothing in McCorkell`s history that could tell that he will be the next gold winner. But at the end of the final hand, the crowd rose to its feet, because he made one really shocking, but memorable victory.
