The annual NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Las Vegas has a new name. The race will be named Boyd Gaming 300, to his primary sponsor Boyd Gaming Corporation. On Thursday, June 13, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway announced the name change of the race and said that it will be officially changed in 2014.
The NASCAR race is also known as the Sam’s Town 300, to the owned by Boyd Gaming Sam’s Town.
Boyd Gaming began sponsoring the NASCAR race in 1997 and after it was resolved that the sponsorship agreement will be extended, the new name for the race was chosen. Boyd Gaming have ensured that it will be the sole corporate sponsor for the next 20 years.
