Nevada Gambling Revenues Have Increased In April

On Tuesday, the Gaming Control Board announced that Nevada gambling revenues have increased in April with more than 6.1 percent, which is about $886 million. This was good news because in March, there was a slight decline in revenues with 10.8 percent.

The calculation was made in comparison to the same months last year. There was also an increase in January and February, with 18.4 and 5.7 percent.

The analysts said that these are mixed results, because the increase is in certain gabling areas, but the table games and slots which appeal to the mass marker, were going down for the month. The amounts of state’s gaming centers revenues were also mixed and the majority came from Southern Nevada.

Bill Lerner, Union Gaming Group analyst, in Las Vegas, commented that he expects the growth to continue in the results for the next month.
