The current Macau gaming tax is 40 percent. That makes the Taiwan 13 percent gaming tax is significantly lower that this of Macau. This will make Taiwan a competitive destination beside others in Asia, such as Singapore and the Philippines.

The report also said that the gaming tax may be an important factor in where VIPs and high rollers chose to gamble.
