The Big One For One Drop – The Winner Is Esfandiari

Esfandiari almost won the $3,000 No-Limit Hold`em Event two weeks ago, where the winner became Trickett. He was really close, because he was holding about eighty percent of the chips, and he got to the final table. It was then when he became unlucky and finally finished third in the event. Of course that he was disappointed he could not win a WSOP bracelet.

After that he decided to enter into the $1 million Big One for One Drop and that was his lucky decision, because he managed to beat Trickett and won the biggest prize in the history of WSOP tournaments - $18.3 million.

The final table of the event was held on Tuesday night and the first three hours were broadcasted on ESPN2, and the last three hours of the event – on ESPN. According to the schedule, Esfandiari was also planned to be part of the live broadcast.

Esfandiari was really happy with his victory and that he had the chance to beat Trickett.
