The First WSOP Open Event Already Has Its First Winner
Brent Hanks is a 29-year old professional poker player, former school teacher, who won the first World Series of Poker tournament on Wednesday night. He collected his prize of $517,725 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.
His victory was really memorable, because he had to overcome a lot of obstacles. On the first place it was the huge field size. The other one was the other finalist – Jacob Beazley, who was at the same age and worked as a school teacher just like the winner Hanks. They were also friends, and hanged out together during the tournament.
