The Senior Event At WSOP Won By Allyn Jaffrey-Shulman

Allyn Jaffrey-Shulman who is the well-known attorney of Card Player magazine, as well as a writer, won this year’s $1,000 Seniors event at the WSOP and got the prize money in the amount of $603,713.

The event, which is open to players at the age of 50 or over, took place at the Rio-All Suite Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas, on Monday. It turned out to be the largest such event in the history of poker, because it drew an enormous number of entrants – 4,128.

At the final table, Jaffrey-Shulman met some really respectful rivals – Hoyt Corkins, two-time gold bracelet winner, Dennis Phillips, who took third place at the 2008 Main Event Championship.

Such an event, won by a female was really something to talk about.

She grew up in Brooklyn, but most of her life, 25 years, she spent in Los Angeles as a criminal defense attorney. When she joined the staff of Card Poker magazine, she also started working as an advocate for the purpose to legalize online poker in the USA.
