Hollywood Casino - Aurora Marks 20 Years

The Aurora Beacon-News reported that the Hollywood Casino - Aurora has just passed the 20-year mark. The Hollywood Casino in downtown Aurora has opened to the gambling public back in 1993 on June 17.

Since the casino has opened, it has generated about $1.5 billion for the state and city. But this is not all – it has also donated about $3.4 million to charities and local non-profit organizations.

The Beacon-News report noticed that 57 employees are working there since the first day that the casino opened. For the past 20 years a total of 12,200 people have been working at the property.
