World Series of Poker Naming an Event After Jerry Buss

World Series of Poker will honor Jerry Buss by naming one WSOP event after him. The owner of the Los Angeles Lakers passed away this Monday from cancer. Jerry Buss was a well known and respected figure in the poker world. At the 1991 World Series of Poker 7-Card Stud event he even finished 3rd.According to a TMZ.com report at the appropriate time WSOP will ask Buss’s family for permission to honor his legacy. The WSOP Seven Card Stud Championship or a special perpetual trophy may be named after Jerry Buss.
